Raise your hand if, once in your life, you’ve wished to try a cooking class! Perhaps one of the ethnic ones, and challenge yourself in new recipes, to amaze friends and family!
Cooking is – along with eating – one of my two greatest passions. The other one is traveling! That’s why the combination of these two things in my opinion is the non plus ultra.
I love to know in-depth the local traditions of a culture different from mine.
For this reason, every time I travel to a new country I choose to join a local cooking class. It’s a perfect way to dive into local customs, handle new ingredients, or discover a new way of cooking food I’m very familiar with.
Invariably, I learn about so much more than the cuisine. Food is so bound up with the culture and history of a place.

During the pandemic, I discovered that I can do both, even without leaving home, through online cooking classes.
There are so many, from those offered by star chefs to those offered by bloggers or amateur cooks. I love them all!
Here are the reasons why I decided to dedicate a post to online cooking classes. My latest discovery is LocalBites, an amazing platform to participate in local and social cooking classes, directly via online streaming.
Localbites is a Live Stream Cooking Experience platform, so everyone can interact and socialize having a lot of fun!
How LocalBites works
Signing up for membership is easy, and booking for a class is just as easy. You have to register on the site, which is free, and choose the lesson that you’re interested in. At that point, check the dates and times of the stream live classes and just book it.
Members can attend or host cooking classes, virtually and live streaming, with a wide variety of dishes from around the world. It’s even possible to take exclusive and personalized classes, participate with friends, or involve kids in cooking activities.
For each recipe, the list of ingredients and cooking tools are provided. In addition, it’s easily stated, the duration and level of difficulty for each cooking class.

What I love of LocalBites
LocalBites is more than a cooking platform. It’s a real online community that allows everyone to share the love of cooking. Their mission is to build a borderless community around cooking. And allow people of all levels and backgrounds, to share their knowledge and love of cooking.
Moreover, LocalBites makes it possible to interact in real-time with the other participants and chat with the chef before and during the cooking class.
Then, is perfect both for people just like to learn from and for those who’d like to inspire others to broaden their cooking horizons.
So, if you too have cooking skills or want to share traditional recipes from your family, you can do it by hosting a class from your kitchen. And share them with those you love!
At last, it can also be a smart way to monetize your passion or your favorite recipe! What can I say, Localbites really won me over!

First of all Thanks for sharing this post! I love Italian food. Italian food is one of the most popular cuisines in the world. all dishes are fantastic.
Wow this sound very interesting, I would love to learn italian cooking style..
The pandemic has unleashed many bottled up skills. Love to cook and experiment with food. Thanks for sharing your discount to cooking the cooking classes.
Love this!! Virtual cooking classes would be awesome I would love to make panna cotta
Though there are many apps that offer video recipes, I still prefer attending cooking classes. If you are cooking something for the first time, a cooking class will save you a lot of time, especially if the recipe is a bit complicated.
I have a sweet tooth, so I’d likely go for the tiramisu class!
These dishes look so yummy! That Is nice you’ve found a place you like plus you get to cook.
